Biography

Brianna Monique Garcia-Colace, known by her ring name Brie Bella, was born on November 21, 1983, in San Diego, California. Alongside her twin sister Nikki, Brie Bella is one half of the popular wrestling duo known as The Bella Twins.

Career History and Evolution

Brie Bella began her career in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2007, starting on the developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), with her sister Nikki. They quickly made their way to the main roster in 2008, and Brie’s career took off.
Initially, The Bella Twins were utilized in “twin magic” segments, where the sisters would swap places during matches to secure victories. However, Brie eventually carved out her own path and developed as a singles competitor.
Brie’s career evolved notably after the launch of the reality TV series “Total Divas” in 2013, which brought her and her sister unprecedented mainstream attention. This led to what is commonly known as the “Bella Revolution” in WWE’s women’s division.

Titles Won and Biggest Matches

Brie Bella is a one-time WWE Divas Champion, a title she won in 2011. She has been involved in numerous high-profile matches, including her Divas Championship win against Eve Torres.
One of her biggest matches was against Stephanie McMahon at SummerSlam 2014, a high-profile feud that culminated in a match rare for its time, given Stephanie’s semi-retired status.

Biggest Rivalries and Tag Team Partners

Brie Bella has had significant rivalries with several wrestlers, including Stephanie McMahon, Natalya, and Charlotte Flair.
In terms of tag team partners, her most significant is, of course, her twin sister Nikki Bella. The Bella Twins are one of the most well-known female tag teams in recent WWE history.

Family Life

Brie Bella is married to fellow professional wrestler Bryan Danielson, famously known as Daniel Bryan in WWE. The couple married in 2014 and have two children, a daughter named Birdie Joe Danielson and a son named Buddy Dessert Danielson.

Finishing Move, Clothing, and Entrance Music

Brie’s finishing moves are the “Bella Buster,” a facebuster knee smash, and the “Yes Lock,” a modified omoplata submission hold which she adopted from her husband, Daniel Bryan.
As for her ring attire, Brie often wears a variation of high-waisted shorts and a sporty top, usually coordinated with her sister Nikki when they compete as The Bella Twins.
Brie Bella’s entrance music is instantly recognizable – “You Can Look (But You Can’t Touch)” by Kim Sozzi, a pop-dance track that is shared with her sister Nikki.

Legacy

Brie Bella, alongside her sister Nikki, has played a pivotal role in increasing the mainstream visibility of women’s professional wrestling in the 2010s, particularly through the “Total Divas” reality TV show and their spinoff “Total Bellas.” Though she officially retired from in-ring competition in 2020, Brie continues to remain a prominent figure in wrestling culture and beyond.
